Bob Martin did a great job getting two articles into the August 2026 Journal of Innovation that explore how SPDX can help make supply-chain information more trustworthy, usable, and actionable. “Regulatory Digital Product Passports as a Catalyst for U.S. Supply Chain Visibility” examines how EU Digital Product Passport requirements and the UN Transparency Protocol could create structured, verifiable product and provenance data at scale, with SPDX serving as an open, machine-readable exchange layer. “Demystifying Supply Chain Risk Assessment” shows how MITRE’s System of Trust™ framework can turn AI governance, digital-twin, and regulatory requirements into practical, evidence-based supplier assessments – including SBOM and AI-BOM information.
